This first-of-its-kind guide showcases over 150 kids’ books authored by indie/self-published authors who are using their collective voices to elevate the representation of diverse populations and subjects in kids’ books.

We have created this resource guide to introduce people, like you, who are passionate about diverse representation, to kids’ books with which they may not otherwise be familiar.  All the featured books are written by indie or self-published authors with lived experience / a passion for inspiring and empowering children.  Each author has thoughtfully and selflessly dedicated countless hours to crafting their book(s) to deliver powerful and important messages about inclusion, acceptance, and equity.
